Create the next short guideline underneath.

No Guard — Lever Halfway
Flick out the line between the closed and open blade lengths.

3mm Guard — Lever Closed
Create the next guideline. If 3mm is your shortest section, begin here.

No Guard — Lever Fully Open
Flick out the line between the open blade and the 3mm section.

3mm Guard — Lever Fully Open
Create the next section at roughly 4.5mm.

Keep The 3mm Guard On
Gradually close the lever and flick out the line between 3mm and roughly 4.5mm.

6mm / #2 Guard
Blend the roughly 4.5mm section into the longer beard.
